A lesson only just learned from my Narcissistic ex

18 Aug 2021

This week, I am enjoying one of those things that I had forgotten all about in the pandemic – a holiday.

But there was something I really wanted to share with you.

So I am channeling Mark Twain, who apparently said, “I didn’t have time to write a short letter so I wrote a long one instead.” Except as a nod to the 21st century that letter became a vlog instead.

In it, I do my best to not only share a powerful insight that only hit me very recently, but also my own little piece of Heaven – the view from a favorite place in the UK.

My narcissistic ex has been out of my life for a long time now. But he really is the gift that keeps on giving.

I hope this insight will be as enlightening for you as it was for me:

  2. The vlog is a great format because it feels ‘real’ in the sense that it’s as if we are really conversing- thank you!
I liked the takeaway re sledgehammer vs egg as I experienced this immediately after the lovebombing and I couldn’t figure out such behavior – for such a new ‘relationship’ there seemed to always be threats of leaving – this over a seemingly minor disagreement. I get now it was a way to manipulate me into accepting her bad behavior or else…!

    • Glad you enjoyed it.

It’s wonderful to hear that your nex’s court documents read so badly. (I am sorely missing the jumping up and down with glee emoticon here.)

He surely is relying on being able to mess with the judge’s head on the day.

Hoping he messes up as badly as he deserves to in court.

      Warm wishes

    • Hello Lu,

Thank you so much for that.

Writing has long been much more my comfort zone than speaking to camera. However, I shall start putting out more videos and posting more on Youtube.

Plus, I have a membership site coming where I will be using the video format a LOT.

So, you can expect to see much more of me in the future.

Warm wishes for your healing and happiness,

      Annie

  6. 7 weeks out of an emotionally abusive relationship, I let him back in for 4 days before he started abusing me again. Now I feel like I’m starting from scratch. This video describes him perfectly.

    • He sounds awful.

Most of us repeat our mistakes and it feels like we are back to the start. However,if you have learned the lesson this time, then that is what matters.

      You will recover.

Warm wishes for your healing and happiness,

      Annie
