Maybe this sounds like
a daft question to you, because you feel you already know the answer: a
man sells himself to you by any or all of the following:
· good manners
· good personal hygiene,
· good looks,
· good dress sense
· being financially solvent
· intelligence
As you already know to
your cost, having been through an abusive relationship, none of these criteria, either individually or collectively,
will guarantee a caring partner or a good relationship over time. Abusive men can manage any, or all, of the above.
You may judge men by
other criteria, either as well as, or instead of, these. Or you may
be in a place where you think: where is this going?
