How I got to rewrite my story despite having given up on myself

07 Sep 2021

Today, I want to share with you how I got to rewrite my story, despite having given up on myself.

Fairly early on in my healing journey, I met the exceptional Face Reader, Glenna Trout. She took me in in one long look and said,

“You’re someone who let’s your clothes do the talking.”

Well, I guess that was one way of putting it. I was pretty voiceless.

I’d grown up as the invisible child of an abusive family. That was partly a reasonable stab at self-preservation on my part and partly a desire to please my mother who always said – to me, although not my brothers – that

“Children should be seen but not heard.”

The journey from invisibility to the work that I do and the life that I have today has been a long, unexpected but hugely rewarding one.

In this week’s vlog, I am sharing it in far more detail than I have before

You can watch it here:

But there is more that I want to share as well.

Over the past 17 years, I’ve always wanted to support as many women as possible as effectively as possible. And now I want to take it to a whole new level.

On September 20th I’ll be launching a brand new membership community specifically for survivors of narcissistic abuse, whether from parents and family, partners or both.

It’ll be a safe space where I can share my greatest lessons, method and techniques that helped me and my clients break free from an emotionally abusive past. It will be affordable, delivered in manageable bite-sized chunks with cheat sheets, action steps and simple exercises and will enable you to understand

  • Narcissists and how to deal with them
  • Treat yourself with compassion and do the inner work that will enable you to truly heal forever after, so that you don’t have to carry old baggage into new relationships
  • Parent confidently, safeguard your relationship with them regardless of what their other parent does and be the role model that your children need and
  • Build healthy relationships – so that you don’t have to fear ever having a relationship again.

I am really excited about this because it gives me the opportunity to connect personally with far more of you than I otherwise could – which I love to do.

There will be more details to follow, but for now, to get on the waitlist and be updated on exactly what is on offer, just go to breakfreemembership.com to register your interest.

  1. Thank you! I have lived my entire life (58 years) with narcs – my father & 2 horribly abusive husbands. Need to heal in mind, body & soul! Working hard with a counselor & Celebrate Recovery. However, neither are specific to narcissistic abuse. Interested to learn about what you offer.

    • Hi Jennifer,

You have been through a very specific form of abuse and you need a person and/or program that focus specifically on the wounds that you have.

I offer 1 on 1 coaching which is my VIP service. You can read about it on this website and, if you like, book a Breakthrough Session with me.

I also offer the ultra-affordable Break Free Membership, https://www.breakingoldpatterns.com/break-free.

Warm wishes for your healing and happiness,

      Annie
